Sassy Moms in the City kicked off the holiday shopping season with celebrity stylist, Eric Himel at Timberland’s exclusive fashion event benefiting Friends of the Park. A big thanks to everyone who came out for a night of shopping, amazing giveaways (gift cards and 3 head-to-toe looks were awarded), interactive photo booth, seasonal desserts and adventure inspired styling sessions.
It’s that time of year to start thinking about holiday gifts! Timberland has you covered with gifts for him, her and even your little ones.
What you may not know is Timberland isn’t just a boot company. I stopped by the new store on Michigan Avenue last week in Chicago and was amazed that in addition to uber chic boots, I found hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters and winter coats for men and women. It took pure will power not to walk out with several new pairs of boots and the most beautiful leather saddle bag.
Is your little fashionista shoe obsessed? My oldest seems to have the same penchant for shoes like her mommy. Not to mention her gravitation toward designer shoes like Stuart Weitzman’s Chippy Ballet flat. What can I say, the sassy kid has good taste!
The overall look of this ballet flat is adorable with a metallic shimmer and cute little bow, that pairs well with skirts, dresses or jeans. Features an elasticized fit making them easy to get on and off along with a back pull tab that keeps the shoe snug around the heel. Rubber soles are functional for preventing slippage during those active moments. One thing to note is the shoe does run a little small. I ordered a size 10 and should have gone up to an 11. My daughter loves the shoe but the back pull tab is a little too snug and rubs against her heel. If she wears socks it’s fine, however that doesn’t work so well for summer.
