As much as I love taking care of myself on the outside, the inside is just as important. Sleep is a big part of my beauty routine and getting enough is not always my strength. I’m a night owl and love to burn the midnight oil. Not only do I stay up late, hubs has had insomnia for years (can’t stay asleep) and my youngest daughter can’t settle down and stay asleep either.
Since being diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, I’m under strict doctor’s orders to get more sleep – at least 8 hours per night. That becomes a difficult task when my mind won’t shut off and I spend most evenings catching up on my writing. It’s the time I’m most inspired.
What I’ve learned through the process of all my hormone and thyroid issues is sleep plays a huge factor in managing stress and good health. All of theses things are directly related.
Thankfully I’ve found relief using doterra essential oils. Over the past four months I’ve been treating my family’s insomnia with a Liquid Xananx – a blend of Serenity, Veviter and Fractionated Coconut Oil prepared in a glass roller bottle (as seen in the photo below).
Let me tell you – this stuff works wonders. At first I was skeptical but now we’re all addicted and use religiously. Each evening prior to bed we rub Liquid Xanax on the bottoms of our feet and within minutes we’re out.
Not only does it relax my mind but it allows me to stay asleep through the night. Same goes for everyone in my family. Hubs even has his own for traveling.
how to make liquid xanax
If you search Liquid Xanax doterra on Pinterest you’ll find several recipes but this one does the trick for us. Some people claim this particular blend is great for preventing freak outs and keeping calm. I use another oil for that called Clary Calm.
It’s important to note that blending these oils requires using a glass roller bottle which are very inexpensive. You can purchase 18 bottles for under $10 on Amazon here.
But so far I’m really loving my experience treating my family with essential oils. For more details on my essential oil journey, read Why You Should be Using Essential Oils.
