Style, Fashion and Beauty for Sophisticated Moms

What’s better than creating memories with your daughter at American Girl Doll Place? My girls came into the world obsessing over loving dolls. When L turned one we took her to the American Girl Doll Place on Michigan Avenue just to “show” her the Bitty Babies and to scope out the magical world of dolls.

My excuse was the rain and we were taking cover. Yeah, right. Obviously we were not thinking clearly because a full on meltdown ensued when L realized she was not able to leave the store with multiple dolls in hand.

We managed a quick escape back into the pouring rain with screaming child in tow. Eventually both girls received an Itty Baby as a birthday gift and this year we are the proud owners of My American Girl dolls (ya know the dolls that look just like your kid). It’s all about the hair and clothes.

Thanks to Digital Megaphone, we were invited to MasterCard® Exclusive Access at American Girl Place event for private shopping before the store opened to the public and brunch with American Girl author Valerie Tripp.

First stop – the Doll Hair Salon for styling and a fabulous new look. Ear piercing was requested but somehow I managed to distract her on to the café for brunch.

What a memorable and priceless experience in the city at American Girl Doll Place! We can’t wait to go back over the holidays for our traditional afternoon tea; with our dolls of course.
