My True Nature Review–Best of Beauty
This week’s Best of Beauty is all about a premium line of hair and skincare products for your little one by My True Nature. I’ve tried many different organic and natural brands and while my kids do not have sensitive skin, I do feel it’s important to use products that are safer for our bodies and the planet. Until trying My True Nature I haven’t been very satisfied with the shampoos that are currently on the market. They may be safer, however the results are not always the best.
My oldest has extremely fine hair that can be difficult to manage and somewhat frizzy. Most products leave her hair dull and flat, however after just one use of Daisy’s Natural 2-in-1 Shampoo & Body Wash, I along with my daughter immediately noticed a difference.
We spent the summer in Florida and started using My True Nature’s products in July. This is a before photo after a day at the pool. This is pretty typical with the exception that we did not brush before shampooing.
Other than washing her hair with Daisy’s Natural 2-in-1 Shampoo & Body Wash, we applied no other products. You can see the difference and how much shine it provided. I was seriously amazed and my daughter was thrilled and is now convinced her new shampoo is helping her hair grow longer.
With so many products on the market using terms like 100% organic and all natural ingredients, it can be overwhelming for moms to know what to purchase. My True Nature was developed by mom of two Kelly Boyd, who wanted a line of soaps and shampoos that had 100% natural ingredients for her own children. While natural ingredients were the primary focus, Kelly also wanted a product that performed as well as typical mainstream products, completely free of genetically modified organisms, parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic dyes and fragrances, triclosan or synthetic preservatives. Not finding what she needed, Kelly decided to create a line for friends and family. After selling by word of mouth, the business has grown from there.
Products are manufactured in Northern California using only premium natural and organic ingredients – most locally sourced in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Best of all, even though they are made of all natural and organic ingredients, they perform largely like the mainstream products most of us have grown accustomed to.
The recycled bottles are made from 100% FDA approved post-consumer PET plastic and are manufactured in St. Louis. And all products are “animal-cruelty” free, gluten-free, dairy-free & nut-free.
After reading the reviews by other moms on their website, I will be putting Daisy’s Natural 2-in-1 Shampoo & Body Wash to the test on my own hair.

My daughter’s hair, while quickly thickening, is still really fine and also hasn’t responded well to organic shampoos. I am definitely going to try this. Your daughter’s white hair reminds me of mine when I was little! . I love it.

You’ll have to let me know how it goes. I’m excited to try on my own hair. Never considered it before.
